Wood Dragon
Loong, or Dragon, as an irreplaceable spiritual totem in Chinese culture, carries a profound connection to my hometown within me. Even when I am thousands of miles away, the cultural significance and imaginations related to the Dragon keep me closely tied to my homeland.
The Dragon is an abstract symbol. Over thousands of years, Chinese people have interpreted and imagined the figure differently. At the beginning of the Year of the Wood Dragon (Loong) in Chinese calendar, I created this illustration celebrating the New Year, embracing traditional cultural elements to convey its essence.
